Unlike most Angelenos, I try to stay out of my car as much as possible, and do many of my errands around the neighborhood on foot. That is how, one day, I noticed that what used to be a Judaica store on Santa Monica Boulevard had suddenly become a new gourmet cafe-market (just as the bar across from it that used to be the Normandie Room had become GYM Sports Bar).That market is called Hunger Market Cafe, and is staffed by a corps of friendly folks just waiting to share the fresh pre-composed salads, hot-pressed panini, savory soups, and clever coffee concoctions.
