Los Angeles Confidential Magazine: LA Reimagines Jewish Deli Fare

A couple years ago, comfort food was all the rage and it seemed like a new gastropub was popping up every week. In fact, I think for a while there my diet consisted solely of grass-fed hamburgers and truffled mac 'n cheese!


However, the comfort food that speaks more closely to my own roots is Jewish deli food - and it seems that chefs around Los Angeles have been sparking something of a revival for foods like smoked salmon, as well as whipping up interesting new (and distinctly SoCal) iterations like molé brisket.
