Jetsetter: Westin Palace Madrid

On a quick visit to Spain last year, I spent two nights at the majestic Westin Palace in Madrid. Originally built in 1912, this opulent grande dame keeps up her appearance under the auspices of Starwood these days.

The standout feature here is La Rotonda restaurant with its gorgeous Belle Epoque glass dome, but the hotel's location (catty corner from both the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza) is unrivaled in the Spanish capital.
