Last Friday, ladies were invited to "Storm the Sazerac," in a commemoration of an event 60 years earlier when New Orleans women took over the famous hotel bar in a bid to be treated equally with men. You see, before then, women were only allowed in and served one day of the year: Mardi Gras. Since the first storming, however, they have been allowed access and service year-round. Now that's something worth standing up for.
