Review: Henry's Hat

Henry's Hat is yet another gastropub that has just opened in Los Angeles (or Studio City, rather), but it is a little more homey than some of the others I've reviewed since it's on an out-of-the-way stretch of the Cahuenga Pass near Universal Studios, and the menu is more like down-home Texas bar food than upscale gastronomic gourmandises. The people behind Luna Park are also behind Henry's Hat, so it's got that nice comfortable, upscale vibe without too much attitude.

I, for one, enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and the Mission 24th burger, as well as the crunchy fries and the excellent beers on tap. Plus, they have tons of boardgames to play just in case your date gets boring and you need something to take your mind off what a bad time you are having.
