Bouillon Racine: This is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris, which I first visited with my brother's friend Karine. She also took me to a few cool places in Montmartre, but this is the one that stuck with me. Turns out it's a historical landmark thanks to a 1996 renovation, and I just love all the Art Nouveau touches. Rivera: I also went to a new nouvelle-Mexican restaurant downtown courtesy of Chef John Rivera Sedlar, who apparently put fine Southwest dining on the map in LA in the 80's and 90's: http://www.la.com/dining/ci_11767497.la.com/dining/ci_11767497

Germany's Twin Art Movements: This is a really cool exhibit at LACMA that traces the evolution of modern art simultaneously in East and West Germany after World War II. Link: http://www.jaunted.com/story/2009/2/17/192653/040/travel/Germany%27s+Twin+Art+Movements
