The era of airplane bars has come and gone. Nostalgic photos from the 1960s and '70s show trendy jetsetters throwing back cocktails in piano bars on the top deck Boeing 747s, and Virgin Atlantic has practically built its entire branding around the swinging setting of its onboard bars. But travelers these days are seeking more multipurpose spaces, especially as flights get longer and longer.
