A couple weeks ago on the April 29th Stir Fry, I mentioned that a new bar dedicated to hard-to-find bourbons and whiskeys called The Thirsty Crow was opening in Silverlake. I went there to try out some of their specialty Manhattans, and to talk to their bourbonista, Brandon Ristaino, about his soon-to-start bourbon tastings on Sundays at 9pm.I wrote up the whole, delightful experience for The Rundown, and hopefully I'll start writing for them again with some more frequency, especially about my recent California travels.
