Bloomberg: Travel Tips for Surviving the World's Longest Flight

The world's new longest flight is Qatar Airways' new route from Doha to Auckland (technically, it's the return that's longer in terms of time), which launched in February. Thanks to that news, we decided to do a story on Bloomberg about surviving those ultra-long-haul flights looking and feeling as fresh as possible.

I've had a lot of practice with these flights myself, jetting from the US to Africa, Asia and Australia, but I consulted a couple experts to get their best advice as well.

Have a look at the article here before your next flight: How to Survive the Longest Flight in the World

Portugal has been acclaimed as Europe’s next great destination thanks to gorgeous beaches , world-class wines, well-preserved historical sites and a thriving arts scene. But the country has somehow managed to avoid a tourist jam and retain a sense of off-the-beaten-path charm.

Bravo: The Benefits of Solo Travel

Thanks to the nature of my job and, okay, yes, my personality, I tend to be on my own a lot when I travel. In fact, when it comes to my work, I prefer solo travel because I can make my own schedule, see what I want and need to see for articles, and generally just like having only myself to answer to.

But there are lots of benefits beyond those to traveling the world alone. You meet new people, experience things in a special way and even get into some of the best restaurants around the world on a moment's notice.

Read all my 9 Reasons to Absolutely Love Traveling Solo on Bravo to find out just what I like about traveling the world this way and how it's impacted my life.

JustLuxe: Highlights from a Viking Ocean Cruise

Last fall, I had the chance to take a cruise with Viking aboard one of its new oceangoing vessels, the Viking Sea. The cruise went from Venice to Athens down the Dalmatian coast with stops in Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.

I had a fabulous time doing everything from browsing local farmer's markets to fishing for my own lunch to mountain-biking through the hill towns of Corfu.

JustLuxe: Europe's Most Luxurious Wine Resort

During my recent trip to Europe, I swung through Spain specifically to stay at a gorgeous hotel located in a restored 12th-century abbey about two hours from Madrid, Abadia Retuerta LeDomaine.

Guests there can take bikes and hikes around the enormous property, enjoy private tastings at the winery, explore the historical buildings, indulge in lavish meals at the Michelin-starred restaurant, or luxuriate in the opulent spa with wine-inspired treatments.
